I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to help moms believe they could get back in shape after having their babies, and find themselves again.
I found myself stuck in a body that didn’t feel like my own after our first baby was born. When I saw 199 lbs. on the scale the day she was born, I was in shock. I felt overwhelmed, tired and depressed. I was a gymnast, dancer, runner, cheerleader, snow skier, etc. growing up, and I never struggled with my weight.
I thought, “Maybe this is how it is going to be since I’m a mom now. Maybe I’ll just have to wear bigger sizes…”
Then one day I decided, “No!!! I’m not going to settle for this!”
I started walking, running, jump roping, going to the gym, etc, and my progress was so slow!
During this time I saw my cousin’s wife lose 80 lbs. with a workout at home called, “P90X.”
She looked amazing so I went to Beachbody’s website and ordered it. I did the full 90 days, and then Insanity for 60 days after that. I felt AMAZING!!! I didn’t just lose the weight. I gained energy, confidence and wanted to tell everyone about it.
I didn’t know about Beachbody Coaching for the first two years I used Beachbody workouts. If I would have known about it, I would have become a coach earlier! I was already helping people for free and directing everyone to a personal trainer who was selling the workouts.
I started blogging about my experience, and someone from Chicago contacted me and told me I could be a coach for Beachbody and get paid to help people. I loved the idea since I was already doing that, and I really wanted to work from home so I could be with our two little girls.
I became a Beachbody Coach in Dec. 2012. I loved helping moms feel and look awesome!
it was never about the money, but earning money did help me to be able to be a stay at home mom. I worked at an office as a Public Relations Director before I became a Beachbody Coach.
At first, I just wanted to earn $1,000 a month. If I earned that I could quit my part-time jobs, cut the nanny costs, and be home with our girls. I reached that goal after 5 months of being a coach.
In August 2012, we moved from Utah to Arizona so my husband could get his MBA. We left most of our things and moved into a small, two bedroom apartment. We thought my husband had a job in Arizona, but it didn’t work out. So we were struggling.
The $1,000 a month from Beachbody definitely helped, but it wasn’t enough to live off of.
I had two choices.
#1- Get a job in Arizona as a Public Relations Director (I have a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in the field)
#2- Turn my Beachbody Coaching hobby into a real business.
I chose #2 to turn it into a real business. I’m so glad I did!
It didn’t just help our family financially, it helped me to forget about my problems and put all of my energy into helping women. I love seeing women light up and get their spark for life back!!
In December 2018, I’ll celebrate my 7 year anniversary as a Beachbody Coach. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to bless and help women in the USA, Canada and the U.K.
I’ve had a lot of different jobs, and this is by far my favorite. I love making a positive difference in people’s lives. I love seeing people transform from the inside out. I love being challenged to help me grow. I love overcoming my fears and doing hard things.
It’s been awesome to reach some of my big goals like becoming a stay at home mom, buying our dream home, traveling to some awesome places, and reaching some big income goals. Those are all cool, but that’s not the reason I’m still here after 7 years.
I’m still here because of the opportunity to truly help people live their best life.I love helping women on their fitness goals, and I also love mentoring women on their business goals to be able to help their families financially.
I’ll always be grateful for this incredible journey and the gift of being a Beachbody Coach.
