This is a hard post for me to write because I don’t like to focus on the money I earn in my business. I like to focus on the people we serve, and I love celebrating their successes.

Passing a Big Milestone

I passed a big milestone in my business this week, and I feel like I should share. Not because I want to share how great I am. Instead I want to show what is possible, and also talk about what it took to get here.

This week I passed earning $240,000 total in my business since I started in Dec. 2011 working part-time with kids.

That number seems surreal to me!

Why I Started

I didn’t start my business to be a six figure earner. I started it because I wanted to help women feel as good as I felt. My life was completely changed with workouts and meal plans I did at home, and I wanted everyone to feel as good as I did.

It started with me. I changed my life from the inside out. Then we started paying it forward and helping others one at a time. It was so inspiring to see people’s lives change for the better!

I woke up excited everyday to see how everyone was doing and who had a new before and after picture. I loved getting the messages and pictures. I loved working with our team. I loved everything about it, especially since I felt like I was truly making a positive difference in the world.

Here’s a video of the success stories from our first year in business when it was called, “GolladayFit.” These are people from all over the U.S.A. We are all so different, but we had one purpose to live a healthier and more fulfilling life!

Something Changed

Something changed about a year ago. It’s hard to put my finger on what exactly happened. Something changed though. I lost my passion, excitement and purpose for what I was doing.”

It was hard. I didn’t want to feel like that, because I love what I do.

I had to find my purpose, passion and reason to continue my business.

Finding my Purpose Again

I felt lost for months. Unfocused, not confident, and it became hard. Some of the top leaders quit that I worked with closely on our team, and I wasn’t sure if I could keep being a positive leader. It was weighing me down.

I went on a few trips, and that helped.

In April I went to Oregon to spend time with some friends who are leaders in my company. Then I went to Punta Cana with my husband on a trip I earned for helping people with their health and fitness goals last year. We also extended the trip for our 10-year anniversary.

It was good to get away and clear my mind. Also remember why I love my job so much.

In June I went to Utah twice. Once for my grandma’s funeral and another time for a family reunion. It was so good to see family and be around people who truly love me for who I am. Living away from them is hard, and it was good to be by them.

In July I went to New Orleans with our team. It was so good to see our team again in person. I love spending time with them.

Going on those trips helped me find my purpose and passion again.

 What I Learned About Business

We came home from New Orleans at the end of July and started a new workout that completely shifted my mindset and gave me confidence again! I finally let GO of all of the fears and doubts that were pulling me down. I was able to move forward again with confidence again. It feels good to feel like myself again.

I’ve learned a lot about business over the past 5 1/2 years. I’ve tried and failed at so many things, it’s helped me learn and grow along the way!

Here are a few of the things I’ve learned:

#1- Just because we try something and it doesn’t work out doesn’t mean we failed, it means we TRIED, and that is what counts.
#2- We have to let GO of pleasing people. No matter what we do, some people aren’t going to like us.
#3- A positive mindset is crucial to success in business. When we lose it, our business goes down.
#4- Confidence is so important. Having confidence in ourselves even when things aren’t going right all of the time.
#5- We need to remember who we are and what we stand for. We’ll face difficult choices along the way, and we need to stay strong.
#6- Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, even yourself. We can do anything we put our minds to.
#7- It’s OK to dream big and go for big goals even if everyone people around us are playing small.
#8- Always focus forward on where we are going, not on the obstacles along the way. Whatever we focus on GROWS! So be careful where you focus.
#9- Surround yourself with people who lift you UP and believe in you and your dreams.
#10- Be careful following too many strategies. There are so many opinions out there! Pick ONE strategy and be consistent.

I could go on and one with this list! I’ve learned and grown so much from running this business. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help others and make a difference in their lives. It has changed me from the inside out.

It’s made me a better person and has given me strength during some of the hardest challenges I’ve faced in my life.

I’m Excited About the Future

I’m excited about where we are going. I feel like we’ve got our passion and purpose back! We are seeing people’s lives change for the better again. I love that!

Success is not a straight arrow to success. There are so many twists and turns along the way. Those twists and turns make us stronger.

I am humbled by the things that I’ve been through the past year especially. They’ve given me a new perspective and have helped me become a better wife, mother and leader for our team.

Good things are happening. 🙂

She found herself tired, overweight and wishing she had her body back after her first baby was born. She found a way to not just lose the weight, but also gain energy, and get toned by doing workouts and following simple meal plans at home. In December 2011, she decided to pay it forward and help other former athletes get their bodies back. She loves helping women live life with energy, purpose and drive again!
