Moroni 7:45 “And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” – A scripture from the The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ
I’ve been thinking about this scripture a lot lately. When we have charity in our hearts, we can’t be offended. We can’t be hurt, and we can’t let our struggles pull us down.
When we have charity in our hearts, we are filled with LOVE.
It doesn’t mean that things people do or say don’t hurt us. It just means that we don’t have to let those things stick or affect us.
We can’t choose what people say or do, but we CAN choose how we respond or react.
Become better through trials, not bitter.
It’s easier to become bitter from hard things we go through. I’ve been there!!! I remember feeling bitter for moving to Arizona. I didn’t want to leave my family in Utah. I didn’t want our girls to grow up not being around their grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc.
At first I was sad about it, and even mad about it too. I felt so alone.
Then one day, my dad said, “You need to get OUT of your apartment. You need to meet people.”
So I did, and my whole experience changed.
When I focused on charity and finding ways to serve others instead of dwell on my own struggles, I found happiness.
This is when my health and fitness business took off too. I poured all of my energy into helping people (mostly women) live healthier, more fulfilling lives!
My situation didn’t change, but my attitude did.
Become BETTER, not bitter. We only have one life to life. Let’s live it with JOY & have love towards others.
