Who is Shannon Golladay?

Hi! I’m a wife to an amazing guy and a mom to three beautiful girls. I was a competitive gymnast growing up. I also loved to dance, cheer at the high school games and run long distance races. I never worried about my weight growing up.

I struggled with my weight when I got pregnant and had kids. I felt stuck in a body that wasn’t my own. I thought, “Maybe this is how it’s supposed to be since I’m a mom now.”

I remember holding our first baby looking out the window and wishing I could feel like myself again. At that moment I decided that I wasn’t going to stay stuck!!! I was going to get my body back and feel good again.

It wasn’t easy, and it didn’t happen overnight. I tried it on my own for months, and my progress was so slow. Running, walking, jump roping, doing things I had done before. They didn’t work.

My cousin’s wife used a workout at home called, “P90X.” She lost 80 lbs.! She didn’t just lose the weight, she also got toned. I loved her results so I bought the workout. I lost the weight and got in shape to run a half marathon! I felt amazing!

I started blogging about my experience because I wanted every mom to feel as great as I did!
